MIT Enterprise Forum Pakistan (MITEF Pakistan) is a premier government-backed entrepreneurship platform dedicated to accelerating the growth of innovative startups and scaling enterprises across the country. Established as part of the global MIT Enterprise Forum network, MITEF Pakistan partners with public institutions, universities, investors, and industry leaders to build a robust pipeline of entrepreneurs who can compete regionally and globally.
Our mandate is to act as a bridge between research, industry, and investment, ensuring that promising Pakistani founders receive not only mentorship and technical expertise but also access to markets and capital. Through structured programs such as the Business Acceleration Program (BAP), Startup School, and Youth Bootcamps, we deliver world-class content in collaboration with MIT-trained experts, local mentors, and global partners.
To make Pakistan a global hub of entrepreneurial excellence by equipping founders with the knowledge, skills, and networks they need to scale high-growth businesses, attract foreign investment, and contribute to the digital economy.
MITEF Pakistan launched in the mid-2000s as a local chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum global network, which has operated since 1978 across multiple countries.
Our Business Acceleration Program (BAP) was one of the earliest structured acceleration efforts in Pakistan, producing alumni such as doctHERs, Sehat Kahani, OAA, Queb Technologies, and CloudClinik, who have since gone on to raise funding and win global awards.
Over the years, MITEF Pakistan has organized flagship events such as Startup Lahore (2017, 2018), drawing thousands of participants, hundreds of startups, and dozens of investors.
Collaborations with Information Technology University (ITU) Lahore, Punjab IT Board (PITB), and development partners like USAID have allowed us to expand outreach, deliver youth-focused bootcamps, and connect Pakistani startups to international opportunities.
Global Exposure: Winners of BAP tracks have represented Pakistan at MIT’s Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and have pitched at international startup competitions and global forums.
