Event Overview
On the 14th of November, MITEF (MIT Enterprise Forum) for Pakistan held the final rounds of its Business Acceleration program to award the winners of the competition.
MITEF, directly affiliated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) through MIT Technology Review, empowers entrepreneurs to create world-class technology companies. MITEF Pakistan’s mission is to “improve the economic wellbeing of the people of Pakistan through development of an Entrepreneurship Promotion Program for Pakistan.”
Business Acceleration Program
Each year, MITEF conducts the Business Acceleration Program where startups from across Pakistan undergo four months of training and mentoring in three competitive categories:
- Established Company
- Women-led Established Company / Startup
- Technology Research / Start-ups Team
In 2023, 26 finalists reached the final stage, and on November 14th, the winners and runner-ups were announced at Mövenpick Hotel, Karachi. Winners are awarded a fully funded Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) at MIT, Cambridge, USA.
