DoctHERs Awards and Recognition

In 2016, co-founder Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram won the prestigious HRH The Prince of Wales’s Young Sustainability Entrepreneur Prize—the first Pakistani venture to do so.

In 2016, doctHERs received UNICEF’s “Campaigner Award” at the Global Goals Awards in New York.

As of 2022, DoctHERs operates multiple telemedicine centres across Pakistan, reintegrating home-based female doctors into the healthcare workforce.

Policy Relevance

Women’s workforce re-entry via telemedicine aligns with government inclusion priorities. Enhances women’s workforce participation via culturally adaptive telehealth; improves access to healthcare in underserved and rural areas.
